St. Catherine of Siena was a Dominican tertiary, mystic, and author of the 14th century, famous for her ecstatic visions and spiritual dialogues with God. She received the stigmata, although the wounds were visible only to herself.
Here, I drew her with her traditional attribtes: she wears the Dominican habit, holds a lily and a crucifix, and has a crown of thorns surrounding her head. I drew haloes around her five wounds. Above her are emblems of a ship representing the Church, and a book surmounted with a heart.
