ST. COLUMBA of IONA
PRINT by DANIEL MITSUI
St. Columba (Columcille) of Iona was one of the outstanding figures of early Celtic Christianity and Irish monasticism. My picture includes references to several incidents in his Vita, as told by St. Adamnan:
How an Aquatic Monster was driven off by virtue of the blessed man's prayer.
How a Wild Boar was destroyed through his prayers.
Of a Pestilential Cloud, and the curing of many.
Of a poisonous Fountain of Water to which the blessed man gave his blessing in the country of the Picts.
The print is about one and a half times larger than the original artwork.
Dimensions: 8" × 12"
