ST. SYLVESTER
PRINT by DANIEL MITSUI
This depicts St. Sylvester, a pope of the early 4th century who muzzled a dragon that was spewing its poisonous breath into the air of Rome.
The scene is surrounded by a border built of interconnecting units of millefleur and shell ornament taken from my various ink drawings.
The print is about one and a half times larger than the original artwork.
Dimensions: 8" × 11"
